Liquid calcium with magnesium and D3

This liquid calcium for birds is a Calciboost liquid supplement for molting and growing birds. It provides calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D3 in an easily absorbed form. Calcium deficiencies can lead to egg binding, feather plucking, increased nervousness, and death.

What it is

  • Liquid calcium (not a powder)
  • Includes magnesium and vitamin D3
  • Easily absorbed from the gut into the bloodstream
  • For molting, growing, and breeding birds
  • Made by The Bird Care Company

Packs

  • 100 ml, SKU BC-CALQD-100, $12.60
  • 500 ml, SKU BC-CALQD-500, $28.88
  • 1 liter, SKU BC-CALQD-1000, $48.60

How to use

Application: in water (10–20 ml per liter) or on soft food (0.1–0.2 ml per 100 g bodyweight). Use the lower doses in hard water areas. Use as directed.

Example drop guidance from the maker (verify on the label): Parakeets 2 drops, Cockatiels 4 drops, African Greys 15 drops, Large Macaws 30 drops.

Breeding and maintenance notes

During non-breeding seasons, Calciboost should be administered 1–2 times per week. During breeding season, increase to 3–5 times a week for 4 weeks to support egg laying and chick growth. A lack of calcium can cause thin-shelled eggs, egg binding, smaller clutch size, poor bone formation, and splay legs in chicks.

Important: This is the liquid Calciboost form. It is not the on-food powder. Feather-plucking protocols may also involve other products such as Feather Up and Potent Brew; veterinary testing may be needed if medical conditions are suspected.
